My name is William. I have taught both high school and college. Additionally, I have experienced in teaching children. I am now retired and work on Italki. I feel confident that I can improve your preparation for any interview or job. My areas of interest tend to center on business, technology and travel.
I have traveled to over 70 countries and enjoy exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. In my free time, I like to take Italki classes, exercise, and play board games! A teacher must be flexible, show cultural sensitivity, and demonstrate a willingness to learn. Patience and humor can be effective tools.
I am also a firm believer that when students take an active role and customize their learning, both the teacher and the student benefit and become partners. I like to emphasize homework for additional practice and implement writing essays to reinforce the subject. Additionally, I will encourage watching movies in the target language as well.

I am an inclusive teacher. Whatever works best for my students is my style. I like to build from students' preferences and learning styles. Real-world applications might be a suitable methodology for students who plan a trip to the target country.
Open dialogue situations where students find a plausible solution will also prepare them for a new cultural experience. Lastly, feedback is essential for the students' development. I will be positive in my suggestions but also offer future tips on how to improve. Making mistakes is part of the learning process. As always the lesson is enjoyable and super helpful and it gave me a good opportunity to practice my speaking. William is a great teacher as he knows how to encourage me to speak and make our conversation become interesting and exciting. Thank you so much.
