Miss Jooah certainly has a deep knowledge of the Korean language, in fact she understands the logic behind its grammar rules and can destructure the lexicon in all its main and fundamental elements, namely morphology, phonology as well as phonetics and semantics. The fact that she creates her own learning material and constantly updates it allows her to cultivate a mental map which orientates her thoughts and actions and facilitate the retrieval of specific information when needed. Moreover, she also demonstrates a profound understanding of multiple learning theories and she is clearly aware of the cognitive processes which determine the possible learning outcomes. In addition, she is able to have meaningful discussions about various Korean traditional cultural aspects and on ancient, modern and contemporary East Asian history. Last but not least, she implicitly communicates her remarkable sense or work-ethics, her spontaneous patience as well as her natural, effortless kindness.

Study with Jooah since December last year, I have passed TOPIK 5, caused by skills that teacher told me , I got 80 points in reading test, although the reading test is so difficult. And my writing, listening also be improved. Thank you Teacher Jooah. You gave me a happy learning experience

We did a lot today. It felt really productive.

I’ve been stuck using a lot of beginner grammar in my conversations with people, but Jooah is really helping me to integrate more complex grammar and more natural sentence structure into my speech. The way she has me practice sample sentences, giving me feedback on not only the vocab and grammar, but also on the pronunciation and flow in my speech is so helpful. It’s always embarrassing and difficult when I try to say something in Korean, but the person I’m speaking to doesn’t understand what I’m trying to say. Thanks to Jooah that happens far less often to me these days. She is the best teacher!

Another productive Korean lesson with Teacher Jooah! Today, we focused on location particles like 'in front,' 'behind,' 'between,' 'inside,' and 'across.' Learning how to use them in sentences made a big difference in understanding spatial descriptions. While I still need more practice to use them naturally, the explanations and examples were very helpful. Looking forward to improving further in the next lessons!
