If you are good with grammar but have trouble speaking and using it in conversation, Soo Young will be an effective teacher. Her methods force you to think in Korean and use the grammar being taught. You are forced to associate the grammar patterns with personal experiences and opinions. Because of this association, I think speaking and using the new grammar will come to mind on the spot more easily when you are conversing with Korean people. I feel like over time she will be able to help me achieve my goals.

I love my lessons with 수영쌤! She is great at explaining grammar points and vocabulary. I appreciate that she builds in a lot of time to practice using the grammar and vocabulary from the lesson rather than quickly moving from one activity to the next without allowing for you to digest the new information. She is a wonderful teacher and I would recommend her Korean curriculum lessons to anyone looking to learn or review grammar in a fun and non-stressful way.

Initially, I had trouble making compound and complex sentences, but all my worries faded away when I attended Miss Kim’s class. My learning experience with her has improved my grammar and vocabulary significantly and made me more enthusiastic and confident to practice Korean in speech and writing. She sets her expectations clearly and cares deeply about her student's progress. Moreover, she has an inspiring and amiable personality and is easy to connect with.  I appreciate all her efforts and will keep on attending her class  : )

Most days I feel like I will never be fluent in Korean, but she does a great job encouraging and helping you along the way. Tough class, but very beneficial. Thank you, 선생님.

I am happy that I decided to book a lesson with SooYoung 선생님. I live in Korea but I've fallen behind on my studying and decided to get serious again with italki lessons. I instantly felt comfortable with her, and I like the way her lessons are laid out; it is the perfect amount of challenging and helpful to me.

She is very intuitive and helps you hold a conversation even when you get nervous. She always helps me feel comfortable. I highly recommend!
