Hello! I'm Tapas, a native Bengali and Hindi speaker, with English as my second language. I hold a master's degree in computer science and a bachelor's degree in physics. Working as a software developer and residing in Kolkata, the cultural heart of India, I'm naturally drawn to arts and heritage. Beyond code, I'm a devoted bookaholic, passionate about unraveling cultures worldwide.

**Since my college days, I have been teaching both kids and adults English, Bengali, Hindi.
**I have experience of over 5 years in teaching students of all ages and levels and my teaching style differs with each.
**I try to get to know each of my students and allow them to know me as much as possible, to create a comfortable and engaging environment where they do not hesitate to ask questions or feel uncomfortable in making errors as it's all a part of learning.

**Building vocabulary, pronunciation skills, basic grammar knowledge, and fluency are the core of my lessons. I focus more on helping to develop practical language skills that would enable the students to strengthen their proficiency in communicating effectively.
**I use audio resources in my lessons, which help students understand how the languages are used in real-life situations.
**I provide written materials about the topic of the day's lesson for revision purposes. I ensure that my students always have easy access to the required study assets.

I like lessons with Mr Topas because he always finds appropriate material as simple reading books (which are excellent for my level), phrases which I can use in everyday dialogues, etc. He is very patient even if I ask one word many times. I have lessons with Topas nearly every day and my Bangla level has grown from absolute zero to A2 during only 1 month of lessons. Thank you very much, Topas!!! 🙂👍👍👍

Tapas is a wonderful teacher! I started learning with Tapas with zero knowledge of Hindi language in order to prepare for a trip to India. His teaching approach is intuitive and perfectly suited for beginners, making learning both accessible and enjoyable. Tapas is incredibly patient, always taking the time to explain concepts clearly and ensuring I'm comfortable with the material before moving forward. His methodical approach has significantly boosted my ability to understand Hindi in practical situations. Thanks to Tapas, I feel well-prepared for my summer in India. Having the conversational classed with Tapas for couples of months, my speaking English has improved a lot in fluency. He also gave me advice to enlarge and expand my vocabulary in order to enrich my oral and written English. Now I am able to get into the all English meetings in my workplace and communicate with native speakers. Thanks Tapas help me a lot and I will keep praticing with him to expect more progress.
