If you want to build more confidence in speaking English, look no further. I am a fun conversation partner and an effective pronunciation coach who loves helping you learn to speak with more ease.
Working with me always involves interesting chats, pronunciation support, and vocabulary building. My first university degree was in linguistics; my work has included life coaching, leading community empowerment projects in several parts of the world, and raising 3 amazing multilingual humans. I am naturally nurturing and attentive, which leads to wonderful relationships with my students in support of your English-related goals.

Whether we're having a great conversation or working intensively on transforming your pronunciation, every lesson is productive. I am not shy about offering corrections and do my best to bring a sense of fun and humor to our practice. Most of all, I aim to ensure that your English practice with me is an uplifting and useful highlight of your day.
Since 2021 I have tutored hundreds of students (on 2 platforms), which has led me to develop my own unique methods, approaches, and materials for supporting the pronunciation correction and practice needs of my students.

1) If you're an advanced or intermediate student looking for conversation practice, my GREAT Conversations course is for you! Our discussions will follow topics that come up naturally as we get to know each other. If there are specific words, topics or work assignments you need support on, I'm here to help.
2) To refine your pronunciation, take my INTENSIVE Pronunication Coaching course. I'll systematically check & correct how you make every English sound, offer drills for correct tongue/teeth/lip placement as necessary, and explain new words. About 70% of our time will be spent on intensive pronunciation, and 30% on conversation. Package students will receive short homework assignments.Il mio materiale didattico

TutorSupported over 1600 English learners in 15-60 min sessions tailored to each students' language needs. Became one of the highest ranked 'Supertutors' after 7 months of teaching on the platform.
2022 - 2022
Course Co-creator & FacilitatorPartnered with Pai Seedlings Foundation (an NGO promoting sustainable agriculture and lifestyles), to design an online course about HUMANS AS NATURE, and about how human and social change happen in the same ways nature around us changes. The deep dive into this subject has greatly influenced my teaching approaches. This perspective also guided my career shift after decades of global and community impact work, to now working for impact in the lives of individual students around the world.
2021 - 2021
Course Co-creator & FacilitatorAfter a 25 year international career as a changemaker, and becoming certified as a Selfcraft Creator Coach, I partnered with the founder of Selfcraft to co-design and lead a 6 month interactive online course called "Restorative Activism." The course taught restorative practices for communicating with ourselves, with other individuals and with groups to 25 activists and changemakers representing 14 nationalities.

Laurea specialistica - Foreign ServiceCompleted a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS), with a specialized focus on International Business in Developing Countries.
1985 - 1989
Laurea triennale - LinguisticsAt the time I received my BA in Linguistcs, UCLA was the number 2 school in the US for that subject. I especially enjoyed my courses in child language acquisition, historical linguistics and phonetics. One of my senior projects was an analysis of speech errors made by non-native English speakers.

2015 - 2018
FounderCreated two 'cross-cultural co-creation club' facilities in N. Thailand, which offered co-creative workshop, retreat and travel experiences to mixed groups of foreigners, Thais and refugees from Myanmar. The club developed a relationship with a village of long-necked Kayan refugees in support of their desire to change their tourism model. I designed, led and recruited participants for 10 workshops in support of this goal, and trained village youth in conversation hosting & translation skills.
2010 - 2015
Initiator and Co-founderSpearheaded a 5-year international exploration of co-creative approaches to community development. This involved guiding a core group of community development practitioners from 5 continents in a structured discovery and co-creative learning process. The Ci2i Global group co-hosted 3 co-creative learning events (in 2 countries) for changemakers and civil society actors from around the world.
2009 - 2017
CEOEstablished a consulting and facilitation services company that designed, led and hosted events in the social change sector. Notable clients included the International Women's Forum (France & Myanmar), Ashoka Innovators for the Public (France), and The HUB coworking space (Brussels). Some profits from Evolutionize It! events and event services financed small projects I initiated at a rock quarry community in Uganda and a garbage dump community at the Thai/Myanmar border.
1999 - 2009
Founding DirectorIn the early days of the internet in Uganda, I created a website that used storytelling to raise funds for local development. That website was cited in the UN's report on the Internet in Developing Economies in 2001, & earned me a fellowship with Ashoka Innovators for the Public. With that support, I taught Ugandans how to participate in online communities in ways that could support their own development goals. Google 'Co-creating a post-war community' for my TedX talk about what happened next.
1994 - 1998
Project ManagerProvided headquarters management and implementation support for a portfolio of international development projects in Eastern Europe and Eastern Africa which were contracted to the company. Projects in my portfolio were financed by the European Union, the World Bank and the African Development Bank. I was also responsible for writing or editing all proposals and company promotional documents that were in English.
1993 - 1994
Project ManagerThe company had developed a research method that was designed to find the best locations in the world for a new factory. I promoted this method to the World Bank as a way of measuring the investment attractiveness of countries and highlighting key factors governments should work on to improve their attractiveness. My team and I carried out World Bank funded studies in Morrocco and Tunisia.

As a native speaker, she perfectly understands the subtleties of grammatical constructions and the nuances of word pronunciation. Her guidance on achieving proper pronunciation is exactly what I was missing.
