Micromanagement frequently stems from a manager's lack of trust in their employees' abilities or a fear of failure. By offering upskilling programs that enhance employees' competencies, HR can address these underlying issues. Skills training in areas such as project management, problem-solving, and decision-making can empower employees to take ownership of their work and reduce the need for constant supervision.

Furthermore, micromanagement can create a culture of dependency. Upskilling initiatives can foster a growth mindset and encourage employees to seek out new challenges. By providing employees with the tools and knowledge to advance their careers, HR can create a more self-sufficient and engaged workforce.
