I specialize in helping you to improve your speaking and pronunciation of German based on special exercises I design specifically for YOUR native language background (i.e. German for Chinese speakers, German for Spanish speakers, etc). My particular area of expertise is in phonetics and phonology, so I can help you to master the difficult sounds of German so that you feel more confident when you are speaking. However, I can help you with any aspect of your German that you would like to improve, including preparing you to take formal examinations like the DSH, the TestDaF and the Goethe Institut exams.

Learning a language is hard work, but there's no rule that says you can't also enjoy it. :) I have worked as a teacher in high school for Dutch and in adult education for Dutch and German. Since secondary school, I have been tutoring students in Dutch, English and German. At the moment I also work as a tutor for criminal law, looking for a place to obtain a PhD. I can easily adapt to your (language) learning needs and style. I believe that you learn the most when you're enjoying what you're doing and having fun. My lessons are conversation based; I do not teach Dutch from scratch and I do not offer a structured A to Z course. I'd rather see myself as a coach on your language learning journey than as a teacher pur sang. After all, it's you who has to do the learning!
