مَرْحَباً أَنَا صُوفِيَّا مِن مِصْر. أَدْرُسُ اللغة الايطَالِيَّة فِي رُوما وَأَسْكُن فِي شَارِع كُنْدُوتِي مَع زَمِيلَتِي سِلْبِيا.

Hola, soy Sofía de Egipto. Estudio la lengua italiana en Roma, y vivo en la calle Condotti con mi compañera Silvia. 

أَهْلاً وَسَهْلاً اِسْمِي مَهْدي تُوقان أَنَا سُورِي مِن مَدِينَة حَلَب. أَدْرُسُ اللغة الايطَالِيَّة فِي مَدِينَة رُوما وَأَسْكُن فِي الشارع نَاسْيُونَال. مَعَ السَّلامَة. 

Hola, me llamo Mahdi Tuqan, soy sirio de la ciudad de Alepo. Estudio la lengua italiana en la ciudad de Roma y vivo en la calle Nacional. Adiós.

Hola, me llamo Sufian Ramadán y soy de Marruecos y estudio Literatura italiana y Literatura latina antigua en la universidad de Roma. Vivo con mi compañero Ahmad Khuri en la calle Napoli.

今天是新学期的第一天，李华早上去了学校。他遇到了他的新同学王天。王天是从美国来的留学生，他不仅喜欢学习汉语，还喜欢听音乐和看书。王天对中国文化非常感兴趣，特别是中国的茶文化。

李华和王天一起去了图书馆，王天找到了一本关于中国茶的汉语课本。他非常高兴，并说：“这本书太棒了！我可以用它来更好地了解中国茶。” 李华也找到了他需要的英语书，因为他想提高自己的英语水平。
下课后，李华邀请王天去吃饭。他们一起吃了米饭和面包，并喝了咖啡和茶。王天对中国的食物和饮料印象深刻，他说：“我喜欢这里的食物，尤其是蛋糕和茶。”

¡Hola! Welcome to Spanish from Zero, a podcast for people who are just starting the amazing journey that is learning Spanish.

Today’s practice is focused on the verb Ser (to be). That's the verb we use to talk about someone's occupations, origin and title.

The exercise is really simple. I’m gonna say a couple of sentences, but the subject (i.e. the person) is missing. For example, if you hear “am from Colombia”, the subject missing from that sentence would be "I". 

Ready? Here are the sentences:

Soy de Argentina.
Es de Perú.
Eres de Guatemala.
Son de Colombia.
Somos de Chile.
Es doctor.
Soy dentista.
Somos amigos.
Son hermanos.
Eres profesor.
