内卷. The word 内 (nèi) means "inside," and 卷 (juǎn) means "to roll." Together, it looks like something is "rolling inward."
But in real life, 内卷 describes intense competition where everyone tries harder and harder, but the effort doesn’t lead to real progress. Instead, people just get more tired and stressed.

Chaos: Derived from the Greek word "khaos," meaning "abyss" or "emptiness," chaos refers to a state of disorder or confusion.

Phobia: Rooted in the Greek word "phobos" (fear), phobia is used to describe an irrational or excessive fear of specific objects, situations, or concepts.

Ethos: Derived from the Greek word "ethos" (character), ethos represents the fundamental values, beliefs, and guiding principles of an individual, group, or society.

Hypnosis: Stemming from the Greek word "hypnos" (sleep), hypnosis is a state of altered consciousness characterized by increased suggestibility and relaxation.

こんばんは！Atsushiです。
今日は大阪から岡山に移動しています。

今日は岡山でボランティアがあります。
私は岡山で4年間、ボランティアをしています。

定時制の高校で、高校生と地域の社会人、働いている人ですね、が一緒に会話をする、というボランティアをしています。

定時制の高校は、夜に授業がある学校です。
昼は働いたりしている学生が夜に勉強をする学校です。
いろんな理由があって、みんなが行く学校ではなく、定時制を選んでいる学生たちがいます。

私たちは、親でもない、学校の先生でもない大人として、彼らと話をします。

私たちは、何かを教えるのではなく、話を聞いて、彼らに寄り添うようにします。

私たちは、自分の過去の話をし、つらかったことや、大変だったこと、うまくいかなかったことを話します。大人のわたしたちが心を開くことで、学生が少しずつ、心を開いていきます。

全部で4回のこの時間は、毎年9.10.11月にしています。
4回という少ない回数ですが、学生にとっても、大人にとっても、記憶に残る、とても忘れられない経験になります。

この時間を通して、高校生のみんなは少しずつ、人と関わることについて、前向きになっていきます。


個人的には、学生との関わりも楽しいですが、普段の生活では、会わない大人、社会人の人たちと会う、ということもとても好きです。

日本では、こういった活動はまだまだ多くありません。
こういった活動を、もっといろんな地域に広げていきたいと思います。
