きょうは、わたしの家のひな人形「木目込み人形（きめこみにんぎょう）」のお話です。

What day is march 3rd? It is Hinamatsuri, the Dolls Festival!

#01 ひな人形のつくりかた

紙を貼って作った人形、張り子。丸みのある形と、シンプルで力強い線で描かれたデザインがとても素敵な伝統工芸です。

Today I talk about Japanese traditional crafts, Hariko dolls. Its rounded shape and simple but strong brushwork are really attractive.

張り子いろいろ（会津の伝統工芸）

庭の梅が咲きました。梅の花が咲くと、本格的に春が来るなとそわそわします。梅の話から、神社、そして地元の伝統工芸の話をしています。


Today I talk about Japanese plum, ume blossoms. Seeing ume blooming, I feel I have to do something just because spring is coming!

梅の花から天神さん、張り子のお話

「旬（しゅん）の味覚」とは、その季節にしか食べられない食べ物のことです。
そして春の味覚は、寒い冬が終わることを教えてくれる食べ物。寒い地方に住む私たちにとって特別な食べ物です。

Today I talk about seasonal food which we can eat only a short period of time. Fukinotou, butterbur sprout, tells us the end of winter, which we can't wait.
