Hello! My name is Buhle, but you may call me 'Lucia' as it's easier to pronounce. I'm a native English speaker and English tutor. I have a Diploma in Communication Science and I am currently pursing a Bachelor's Degree in Education. I have been a tutor for more than 3 years, thence, my goal is to become a full-time educator. I am a very compassionate and kind person. I'm a good advisor and listener, which makes me a good teacher. I enjoy yoga and exercise in my free time, as well as reading and painting. I also enjoy traditional dishes (literally all kinds) and conversing with different people. I believe politeness goes a long way and that it is the best quality to have.

I have taught plenty of students, some of which were pen pals (Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic, Korean) . I enjoy exchanging information and teaching people how express themselves verbally (using words). I treat my students like my own siblings, I am there whenever they need me and I will help them to the best of my ability. I am patient, which is especially essential when assisting beginner students. I am able to simplify information and help students become fluent English speakers. All my students are B+ English students so you will be in good hands should you select me as your tutor! I offer free worksheets and other materials in order to help my students thrive.

I usually ask my students what their objectives/goals are, how many lessons they are willing to have and I create a special teaching plan for them. I help leaners improve their Grammar, Pronunciation, Writing and Reading skills. I allow them me to ask for assistance with homework, if necessary. I may assist with Examination Preparation, Job Interviews, Work Presentations and Formal Writing. I provide printable worksheets and handy workbooks. I prefer giving students quizzes at the end of each week to assess their understanding of the material covered over the week. I can provide PowerPoint slides with tips and hints. I can assist students in compiling any extra notes.
