Hi, thank you for reading this description!
My name is Tea, and I come from Belgrade, Serbia. I'm a 22-year-old student of Molecular Biology and Physiology, as well as a professional book editor working mostly in English. In my free time, I sing, play the ukulele, and spend time with my family. I used to play volleyball for most of my school years, and nowadays I'm slowly becoming a gym rat.教学经验
I already have a few years of experience with private tutoring, teaching Serbian, English, Biology, and Chemistry in person. I've also done a couple of rounds of online tutoring during COVID, and I enjoyed it quite a bit, so I'm looking forward to continuing on italki.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My approach as a teacher consists of three things:
1) Interests of the student: I treat every student as their own person with their own background and needs, so I don't have a cookie-cutter curriculum for everyone—I offer my students personalized help in areas in which they need it.
2) Flexibility: there is no single approach that works for everyone, and one-on-one tutoring allows me to modify the lesson timing and structure in a way that works best for each student (conversation, vocabulary building, grammar lessons...).
3) Support: language learning is hard, and it's my job to help my students find the will to try speaking, even when (and especially when) they don't think they can do it.5.0

Tea is a great teacher. I had no experience with the language so far and she picked up topics on the spot to talk about which are not too hard and not too easy for beginners to learn. I would recommend her lessons!

I've leaned how to communicate in basic Serbian in minutes!
Tea's approach to teaching is truly personalized, tailoring the lesson to suit unique interests - I want to learn some basic Serbian for my trip and she was very helpful!
Now I've got confidence to speak up and it got me excited for my trip even more!

Если вы учите Сербский, но еще не нашли того, с кем практиковать и улучшать свои навыки, то настоятельно рекомендую Теу: я уже после одного урока заговорил чуть внятнее и свободнее :) If you wanna learn Serbian then definitely take classes with Tea and just enjoy the process:)

It was a great second lesson. We've reviewed the previous lesson and made some progress. Then we summarized. I feel like this is the teacher I need for Serbian. Good combination of old-school materials + newage wholesomeness.
