My name is Gedion, born and raised on the island of Curaçao, I am a Papiamentu native speaker who also speaks Dutch, which is the other official language in Curaçao in addition to English. In fact, a great majority in Curaçao also speaks Spanish, which is why I can teach Papiamentu from either one of these languages.
Currently, I'm located in Asunción, Paraguay, working as a Freelancer, learning Guarani, practicing my Spanish and Portuguese and exploring the continent. Previously, I lived in Curaçao where I was born, the Netherlands where I studied, and Spain where I did a semester abroad and my internship. I'm passionate about languages, culture, philosophy, psychology, and baseball.教学经验
The reason why I decided to join Italki as a Community Tutor is because of my love for languages and my wish to see Papiamentu grow as a language. During my classes I like to ask the student what their needs, goals and interests are so that we can combine grammar and conversation practice in which we talk about things that truly interest you. I'm also very happy to answer any questions, translate or explain and doubts you may have outside of class.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
In your first class, we will be looking at the background of these languages. We will also learn how to introduce ourselves. Based on your interest(s), we will be continuing with language acquisition. That's right. We won't be learning the language. Instead, we will get so familiar with it that sooner or later we will start having actual conversations.我的教学资料
