Hello, I am Kevin, a native English teacher from the UK. I specialise in OET, IELTS, and TOEFL, especially the writing and speaking sections, so contact me if you need help with those!
I have taught in several countries around the world and now live in Central Europe. When not teaching English and helping people pass their exams, I am an amateur chef with my own cookery blog (Kev's Kitchen), and I am also a tour guide in the Slovak forests at the weekends. I also have a YouTube channel (The English Native) where I make videos about writing for IELTS and OET.教学经验
I have been working as a teacher since 2009 and have lived in Turkey, China, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and now Slovakia. I specialize in IELTS/PTE/OET/TOEFL and other exams but I can also help with general English, conversation, grammar, and vocabulary development.
My background is in History and Politics, and I hold BA and MA/MRes degrees in both those subjects as well as in Applied Linguistics. I also hold several teaching certificates for TEFL, etc.

My lessons are based on a thorough initial assessment of the learner, and I adapt my teaching accordingly, to the student's needs, learning style, and what the outcome of the lesson is.

I’ve been preparing for IELTS with Kevin in 2021, and I’ve got 7.0. Since my IELTS certification has expired, I’ve decided to take an exam again, and prepare for it with Kevin, again.
We are doing lots of speaking and writing tasks, Kevin explains my mistakes, explains the grammar and helps with the formation of thoughts. A wonderful teacher! I would definitely recommends classes with him. Thank you, Kevin :)

Today we focused on Part C of the reading section. The teacher taught me a great strategy for answering questions, ensuring that I get the answer or at least have a high probability of getting it right. It was a very beneficial lesson.

Today, the teacher taught me the appropriate method for solving reading section questions. We covered parts A and B, and it was great that the teacher explained how to focus in order to save time and not waste it.

We conducted a speaking mock test today, and the teacher pointed out things, phrasing, and steps that could improve my score. He also provided me with the necessary materials to achieve that. Additionally, he checked my writing task. I believe I still need to improve in this part; the teacher also continued to inform me of my mistakes so I can avoid them in the future.
