Hello, I'm Sophia! I'm a native English speaker from Los Angeles, California but I've been living in Madrid for the past three years.
In university I got my bachelor's degree in International Relations due to my interest in different cultures across the globe. In June 2024, I completed a master's program in teaching at the University of Alcalá.
Besides all that professional stuff, I love animals, traveling, reading, writing, and learning, especially from my students. Come take a class with me and teach me about your own culture or recommend me a film or book all while I help you improve your English skills!教学经验
For the last few years, I have been working in Spanish schools gaining experience working with children as young as 4 to as old as 15, as well as working on iTalki.
Throughout this time, I have discovered a passion for helping others engage in the language they desire to learn. As a language learner myself, I have been able to recognize the strategies and materials that work best for me, and I would love to help you uncover your preferred methods and activities! I know that learning a new language can sometimes be intimidating and frustrating, but I'm here to guide you through the process and make our sessions both comfortable and productive 😊.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
I like to curate my lessons to your specific needs, as I feel that students can learn more and be more productive when they are engaging in their target language in ways that personally suit them.
The one thing that all my lessons have in common, is that they are conversation-based. Some reading or writing exercises may be thrown in here and there, depending on your needs, but I like to focus on conversational skills, as they are the building blocks of learning any language!我的教学资料
