I’m an American businessman, educator, teacher and trainer that’s lived in China and SE Asia for over 15 years. Living in Asia for that many years and being able to understand cultural differences allows me to teach my students from an insiders prospective as I understand what real English speaking and communicating is. I also am fluent in Chinese so I know the ups and downs of learning a second language. At this stage of my life I enjoy helping students reach their goals whether it’s a businessperson involved with a multinational company or a student looking for a 7.5 in IELTS. I do enjoy going to the beach, riding motorcycles, snowboarding and hanging out with friends.教学经验

My lesson style is fun and relaxed while also being challenging and intense at times to give my students the best opportunity for success in real life English situations. I will do my best to activate my students knowledge and push them on fluency, grammar and pronunciation. The classes are always fun and upbeat. Unlike most teachers I am brutally honest in my assessment of your ability as I’ve taught 1000’s of students over the years. REALLY EXAMPLE FROM 7 To 8 On Speaking:
Before I met Jonathan, I have took 4 times real exams and my speaking was unstable, from 6.5 to 7 all the time. The reason I booked package with him because I wanna a solid seven, that’s it. Surprisingly, with his intensive training, I got a 8 at the end, unbelievable!! As he said, he likes “planting seeds” (which means ideas) in our mind, and we will remember them during test. I have proven that is correct, you won’t regret study with him.

He's a great teacher. My oral English is poor in terms of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and thinking. Originally, I only had a 5.5 IELTS speaking level, but the teacher taught me how to answer the question, idiomatic English expression and confident answer attitude. One month later, I got an amazing score of 6.5 in the speaking test!
