I am Richard, English and educated by a top Public School (actually a private boarding school - English can be a strange language!) and a good UK University, so my knowledge of and use of English are very good. I speak RP (Received Pronunciation), which is English without a regional accent and which can be understood anywhere in the world. My knowledge and use of grammar are also of a very high standard.
If you want someone who can share all of the latest slang and jargon with you and teach you to talk like a teenager, then I am probably not who you need! But if you want to learn good English, good pronunciation, good grammar and spelling, then I can definitely help you.教学经验
I am a certified Teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). My speciality is accent reduction and pronunciation in which I also hold a qualification.
I have years of experience teaching adults in small groups of between one and four students, so I am used to developing close teacher/student relationships.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
The methods I will use depend largely on you, on what you want to learn, and the best way that helps you to study and progress. During our first lesson we will talk about what you want to achieve from your studies, along with any specific goals or upcoming events (such as exams or interviews) that you may have. During this conversation I will listen to your use of English, grammar, vocabulary, accent and pronunciation. I will be able to comment on your strong points and on areas that need attention. We will then be able to set up a course to help you to achieve your aims in a relaxed and friendly way.

I've just had my first lesson with Rick. Overall it was an excellent start. As a teacher, he is polite, very articulate, and well spoken. He knows quite a lot about the origin of many english words. My favorite part of the class was sort of like a shadow exercise where I read a few sentences of a text after him. I'll definitely book another class.
