Hello everybody, It's Seyit. I'm 26 years old and I live in Denizli. I graduated from Hacettepe University Contemporary Turkic Languages and Literatures department in 2021. I'm currently studying master's degree. My interest in language and interlingual relations during my high school years led me to this department. In this department, different dialects of Turkish, their usage in different periods and I learned a lot about its features. What I learned in this department, increased my interest in language learning and teaching. Now, I am here to teach you Turkish through Italki. I am particularly interested in etymology and I am able to explain the new words I learned and the meanings of the words along with their origins to everyone around me. At this point, my basic rule as a teacher has always been to oriented teach for the student. I prefer to reach the result in whichever way my student will understand easily. There are all kinds of methods to improve your Turkish here. Remember, I am a linguist and teaching languages is not my job, its my life. My lessons contain very useful information. We will see İn this lessons common words in everyday speech, detailed grammar explanation, and educational information about Turkey. I will give you homework, make you read poems and say nursery rhymes. We'll to examine songs together, talk news, and learn lessons from movies. Most importantly, we will never have a boring lesson. Today’s Turkish lesson was a great opportunity for me to practice real conversation. It helped me speak more naturally and was trully engaging. The conversation encouraged me to use some new vocabulary in context, which made the learning more effective. And I really appreciate the relaxed atmosphere that Seyit created—it removes the fear from talking in a foreign language for me. Overall, it was a productive and enjoyable lesson that helped me feel more comfortable speaking Turkish.
