Tinatin Bakhtadze

I've been having lessons with Tinatin since the start of learning Georgian, and I can say with confidence that she is by far the best language teacher I've ever had. She is always so patient and encouraging, she knows how and when to push your ability, and knows exactly how to cater the lesson to you. I always feel really accomplished after each lesson. More great free conversation. Tinatin used some of the verbs to go into a relevant, concise explanation of verb conjugations, as well.

Tinatin is good at following conversations, keeping the language at a good level for me, and filling in some vocabulary and grammar for me.

Today our conversation delved deeply into the grammatical. Georgian has a complicated system of expressing subjects and objects, depending on the classification of the verb. Tinatin was able to explain this subtle grammatical point clearly, coming up with helpful examples from the top of her head. I'm a real language nerd, and I rarely see this level of grammatical sophistication among native speakers of a language!

Tinatin is a wonderful teacher to have. Our lessons together are a highlight of my week. I appreciate her patience and feel empowered by her praise and encouragement. I feel that I have made some significant strides in Georgian and it is all because of her. I look forward to our continued lessons.
