Hello, My name is Mpho. I am a 28 years old lady from the beautiful country in the Southern part of Africa called Lesotho, also known as the Mountain Kingdom. I also have a 120 hours TEFL Certificate which has played a huge role in ensuring that I assume my role as a tutor well because this certificate has opened me to different cultures and traditions, how people behave, and how I am supposed to handle each and everyone of them in respect to their beliefs. Communication is one of my strongest points and enrolling in Public Relations played a part too, because I was taught on how to approach different people in different circumstances.

I have exceptional communication skills and I am very patient but at the same time, I ensure that I enforce the right mentality so that my students may learn and reach their different goals. I believe in tailoring my lessons to the specific needs of my students so that I deliver the relevant information to my students. I am fully aware that students are different and they learn differently, even the pace at which they learn is different and that is why I use different teaching methods such as TPR, educational music, power point slides and even articles.

My lessons are very informative and accommodative for all of my students. I use different teaching styles for different learners such as teacher-based learning where I give information to the students then test their understanding using quizzes and comprehension questions, student-based learning where I follow on where the students' interest lies, and hands on teaching which includes making experiments together with the student so that they learn through participating.

Teacher Mothobimpho is very enthusiastic. She supports me a lot with my pronunciation and vocabulary. Even though the class time has ended, she is always ready to spend extra time helping me finish the lesson.

I booked lessons because I wanted to improve my English speaking (based on the test, I am at level B2+). During the trial lesson, I told the tutor that I am at this level and need to be fluent in English. I am disappointed because the topics of the last three lessons were for beginners (travel, giving directions in the city and giving directions in buildings). In the last lesson, she played a video for children. I spent the whole lesson repeating phrases about how to get from one place to another. I am sure that this will not help me to be more confident when talking to foreign scientists. Moreover, the tutor has no plan. She only looks for materials when the lesson starts. And I am waiting. I have wasted money and time. I will not be able to handle any more lessons with her.
