Richard Halim

I really enjoy Richard’s teaching style. He’s friendly, approachable, and easy-going, which makes learning with him a comfortable experience. His teaching is clear and well-structured, and after each class, he sends me all the materials in a Google Doc format, so I can easily access them anytime. We started with basic greetings, and now we’ve moved on to numbers and currency. With each lesson, I’m learning more and more, and it’s great because Richard is an excellent teacher.

Richard is a fantastic English speaker. He knows colloquial English and this really helps as he explains Indonesian grammar and vocabulary, as he can do it in various contexts. A very good first lesson as a complete beginner in Bahasa Indonesia.

Richard is a great tutor! Two lessons in, and I feel like I have already learnt a lot. He made the lessons fun and interactive, and he made sure that it was conducted at a pace which I could grasp the language comfortably. He also gives a lot of cultural nuances during the lessons, which make it easy to understand the Indonesian culture. He was very appreciative of all the small or big progress I made during the sessions. I definitely recommend Richard as a tutor for anyone who is keen to learn Bahasa Indonesia!

Hari ini adalah kelas yang pertama dengan guru Richard. Kami membahas tentang beberapa topiks yang berbeda. Bahasa Inggrisnya bagus sekali jadi dia bisa pakai bahasa inggris untuk menjalaskan sebuah kata atau sebuah frasa. Saya menikmati kelas kami.

Richard has tailored the progression of the lessons to what I need immediately. (Interacting with staff on a holiday) And I am sure we will progress to more detailed vocabulary on my return.
