My name is Niis, I grew up in the United Kingdom but I have been travelling my whole life. I am currently based in the UK but I have also lived in Germany for five years and I speak four languages. English, Somali, German and Portuguese. I love learning languages, I have a lot of friends whose mother tongues are different to mine and I just love this moment when we speak in their mother tongue and I get to know my friend in a completely different way. As Nelson Mandela said “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.”

As a teacher I would say I am quite relaxed but stern. I want you to reach your potential, goals and dreams! I would make a tailor-made plan for each of my students and in our lessons we would try to ONLY speak English. I find that this kind of immersion-style is honestly the best for learning English. We would talk, I would listen to you and we would navigate the lesson totally according to your interests in the English Language.

In our lessons, it would, of course, mainly be based on conversation and I could teach you a lot of British Slang and I would help you in a more practical way. How to use the English language the way native speakers do. I wouldn't make the lessons unnecessarily hard but I would push you to your best! To reach your potential and maybe even try to teach you how we Brits speak in this accent if that is your dream haha!
