Ahoj! My name is Kuba. I was born to Czech parents in the US, so I am a native speaker of both Czech and English. I am also fluent in Spanish, and I am currently living in China studying Mandarin.
I love people, and my favorite thing is to learn about people's life story while traveling. I am also an artist specializing in oil and acrylic painting and have had shows in the US, Czech, Mexico, and China.
For fun I love to sing, dance salsa & bachata, cook, hike, play music with people, travel, learn new things and be in nature. I've been in over 30 countries any whenever I go I always learn to count to 10, ask where the bathroom is, ask how much something cost, and say THANK YOU!
教学经验
I love getting to know my students personally and catering to their needs, goals, and interests to teach through Comprehensive Input. For students who are studying for specific exams or people who want to work with a specific text book, I can incorporate it.
I am adaptable, fun, and very focused on pronunciation. I will help you learn to use your lips, teeth, and tongue to pronounce syllables and consonants property in order to be understood.
I was a TEFL certified business English teacher in China in 2016, and while I was still in University I developed and taught my first Czech course in 2014. I now work with business people, opera singers, young children and students of all ages.
我提供的课程和我的教学风格
I specialize in Comprehensive Input as well as diction/ pronunciation coaching in English and Czech. This means that we talk about your interests in your target language, rarely using your native language.
I cater my vocabulary usage to your level. Highly customized, we will often play games, learn tongue twisters and songs. Outside of class you will primarily watch videos, listen to podcast, and read based on your level.
With people who are new to their target language I believe in immersion, speaking as much of that language as possible while using every simple vocabulary and body language to show and explain what I am saying. I use my students native language only when necessary.
