Naru

Today was my first conversation class. Thinking in Japanese was hard! Despite having learned a lot of vocabulary, I don't feel I am using enough of it, and that's why I wanted to put myself out of my comfort zone and dive into the language. I still have a lot to learn, but it's a start to building my confidence to speak Japanese. Thank you, Naru Sensei 😊.

Another excellent session. We also discussed cultural aspects and a bit of history of Japan. Naru is patient and encouraging, quite talented as a teacher.

Lesson no. 20 done! I am so happy that I found Narumi here !!! We are 2/3 of the way with Genki I and I love every single lesson we’ve done so far!. Everything is explained clearly with extra context if we find something to be challenging. She always encourages me to read things out loud and I can see the benefits from it! Couldn’t be happier with her as my tutor 🤩

Today we kept using the short forms for informal speech. There were a couple of concepts I had not fully grasped yet, but thanks to the practical exercises, I am starting to get the different uses of the short forms 😊.

We went over Katakana today!

Going over vocab with Naru has been helpful for my pronunciation.
