Hi, I’m Hiro! I’m a native Japanese speaker from Tokyo with over 2 years of experience teaching Japanese to students from diverse backgrounds.
I teach in both English and Japanese, offering personalized lessons in Business Japanese, JLPT preparation, Conversational Japanese, and Japanese for beginners.
I am also personally taking online English conversation lessons to brush up on my English, so I understand the challenges of learning a second language and can relate to the difficulties you may face in mastering Japanese.
As a big fan of Ghibli movies and an avid traveler, I’m sure we’ll find plenty of interesting topics to discuss during our lessons!教学经验
During my studies in the U.S., I taught Japanese for 2 years to Asian and American students, as well as working professionals, helping them achieve their language goals. At Columbia University, I majored in Comparative Literature, which deepened my understanding of language and culture. My teaching approach focuses on creating customized lessons tailored to each student’s goals and proficiency level, with a particular emphasis on Business Japanese. The key to mastering Japanese is maximizing your speaking opportunities. In my lessons, I prioritize giving you as much speaking time as possible. If you want to learn Business Japanese, I recommend masteing the basics first before taking lessons. For example, it is preferable to have passed at least JLPT N3 or higher. For JLPT preparation, I provide a wealth of past exam resources to ensure you're studying efficiently and effectively.
