你好，My name is Hannah.
I am a full-time online Chinese teacher since 2014. My students range from kids to adults(儿童-成人), from the very beginning to advanced level, and I love to meet people from different culture backgrounds. I am from north China with a standard and easy to understand accent. I studied English and Japanese at college, from my language learning experience, I believe immersion is more effective. As a teacher I am very responsible and flexible, I will tailor the course to the needs of the students.教学经验

The best Chinese teacher on italki! I started as a complete beginner, and by the 2nd lesson, I could already read Chinese characters. I'm amazed that I haven't spoken a word of English during her lessons. Even though Hannah only speaks Chinese during her lessons, I understand her completely. Despite not having a strong reason to learn Chinese, I persist because of Hannah's excellent teaching skills.

When we practice conversation, I am always grateful that Hannah uses words I learned recently or new words she recently taught me so I can learn in context. She is a great conversationalist and the topics we cover are always interesting. She is always patient when I think of a word and uses Chinese to help me when needed [never English]. 谢谢老师！

I have taken lessons with many different Chinese teachers and I think Hannah is one of the best out there. She always makes sure to only speak Chinese during our lessons so that I get lots of listening practice, and even though my Chinese level is still very low, I never have trouble understanding because she always explains things very well using words I can understand, and is very patient when I need to hear things a second or third time. Our lessons involve a good balance of reading, speaking and listening, working through activities as well as just general conversation practice. I believe I have learned a lot since my first lesson 谢谢你老师 :)

It's been about a month, but I feel as though I've retained so much from studying with Hannah. I'm happy to have her as my Mandarin teacher, and I'm excited to progress further, even when things get a little challenging. :) 谢谢 🙏🏽

Hannah is the best! She is a wonderful teacher who is patient, encouraging, and great at explaining things clearly. She is supportive and makes learning feel easy and natural. Her lessons are engaging and have helped me gain confidence and make real progress.
