Thuý

Thuy is an incredibly gifted teacher. She always knows how to help me advance in my study of Vietnamese and she is very, very patient! Lessons with Thuy are always fun and interesting. She is the best teacher and also a very kind and generous person.

Thúy has helped me study Vietnamese for 8 months now. I started out only knowing “Xin chào” and “Cảm ơn”, and have now made a trip to Hanoi where I held basic conversations with native speakers. Thúy provides a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy for you to say “I don’t understand this, can you explain it?” Especially with the tones, where I felt embarrassed by how many times I had to practice, but she was always patient and helped me get it right. And she continues to correct me with pronunciation each lesson! You can’t learn a language in only a few hours each week, so you have to practice on your own outside of class, and Thúy recommended great resources to help me in studying Vietnamese outside of our class time.

This was another terrific lesson with lots of conversation. Thank you so much for all of the time you take to help me learn and improve my speaking.

I just had my fourth lesson with chị Thuý and I'm feeling so happy to have found her! I was looking for a while for a Vietnamese teacher who is really engaging and interesting to talk to, as well as being a good teacher. Chị Thuý is exactly that. She always has something interesting to talk about with me and the conversation always flows. That makes the lessons so fun and is also helping me to learn a wide variety of vocabulary. She is also very professional. Before my first lesson, she asked me what I was looking for in my lesson, and I really appreciate that because it shows her flexibility. After every lesson, she sends me a pdf with all new vocab and sentence structures from the lesson, which is so useful. She also always speaks to me in Vietnamese. I love this immersive experience and it's exactly what I was hoping for. Finally, she has also recommended some learning tools to me that have really helped me to study Vietnamese in creative and fun ways. Cảm ơn chị rất nhiều!

I had a great lesson with Thuý. She is a very patient and helpful teacher. She brings interesting topics to our lessons, and she helps me with the new words which we discover in each new topic. I am learning quickly with Thuý's help and guidance. Her lessons boost my confidence in speaking. Thank you Thuý for helping me improve in Vietnamese.

I absolutely loved my one-hour lesson with Thuy! Her engaging personality draws you right into the conversation, making every moment enjoyable. I really appreciate the format of impromptu conversations and learning vocabulary naturally along the way. She creates a comfortable atmosphere, even though my Vietnamese skills are still developing!
