Appreciate Koyuki-san’s efforts to prepare for the lesson by contacting me before hand. I was surprised when she started with specific materials that I made reference too when I shared what I had used in a beginner’s class. She also has an encouraging and patient style that did not make learning a new language a stressful but fun experience.

Koyuki sensei is an excellent teacher! She skillfully adapts lessons to the needs and goals of the student, and explains even difficult concepts in ways that are easy to understand. She also has a wonderful positive and encouraging approach, which is so important while learning a language!

I've been going to classes with Koyuki for a while now and feel my Japanese has improved so much! She not only takes the time to do a small review but she also goes over any pain points in the homework/any questions I might have. The thing I've found most useful, though, is the fact she goes out of her way to make things progressively harder without it being too hard. We'll learn some dialogue/phrases but then also go into making your own phrases and learning the new words you need to know to make that sentence. She does this all the while being very energetic and making her classes genuinely fun! 100/10 the best teacher you could have.

I really enjoyed my first lesson with Koyuki sensei. 話しやすいかったです！ She was very patient and easy going. I felt safe making mistakes in front of her and I look forward to our next class!
