Hi, I’m Khatereh, a native Persian speaker from Iran with a master’s degree in Translation Studies. I’m passionate about languages and enjoy helping others learn Persian in a fun and effective way.
I love traveling and discovering new cultures—it’s like an adventure! Teaching Persian not only allows me to share my rich cultural heritage but also helps me connect with amazing students worldwide.
I also speak English at an upper-intermediate level, making it easier for me to guide non-Persian speakers.

In my lessons, I focus on creating a learner-centered environment where your needs, interests, and learning style guide the pace and content of our sessions. Whether you’re a beginner mastering the basics or an advanced learner exploring Persian literature, I make sure our lessons are engaging, effective, and personalized.
I teach conversation (speaking), reading and comprehension, grammar, vocabulary (writing), and even business and technical Persian. I use a variety of resources—books, pictures, videos, audio files, and more—shared according to your proficiency, making each lesson dynamic and tailored to you.

I already knew Ms. Khatereh because she was one of my language exchange buddies on iTalki. I was very excited to book a lesson with her when I found out that she would become a teacher on iTalki. I chose her as a teacher because she is friendly and encouraging. I asked her to correct my mistakes and when she does she is gentle. She is very patient with me as I try to sound out the new words in Farsi. She lets me lead in what I want to learn but she also guides me as well. I look forward to another lesson with Khatereh.
