Hi everyone,
My name is Alexandre Applefield-Alvarez.
I was born in Paris, France, but my father is American and my mother is half German and half Cuban. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Education and a Master's in International Public Management. I am trilingual and have lived and worked in French, English, and Spanish-speaking countries, and recently founded my own social enterprise in Colombia. I am passionate about social issues and understanding cultural differences to build a better world.教学经验
I have taught different topics (from science to languages, cooking and basketball) to different populations (children, teenagers, teachers, social workers, entrepreneurs, homeless people...). When I begin teaching to a new student, I make sure to understand their expectations in terms of method, pace, and results. Based on that, we define a plan together. As a general rule, I make sure to give my students a lot of freedom in terms of materials, so that they can read articles, watch videos or listen to audios about topics that they are passionate about. Language is a tool that will expand their world. It is a means, not the ends. My objective is for each student to be able to understand and communicate about what they really care about. Every person has their own learning style, and my job is to identify what works for them!我的教学资料
