I have been taking weekly lessons with Gabriele for a little over a year now. At this stage, I am interested in learning how to sound natural to a native speaker. Learning it outside of Italy is challenging - grammatically correct sentences might still sound a “off” in Italian. Gabriele acts as a perfect sounding board catching these inadequacies and offering better-sounding solutions. I think Gabriele is a great fit to explore language subtleties. He pays scrupulous attention to detail and has an extensive knowledge of linguistics and general culture. Gabriele gives me every chance to find solutions on my own but offers help when he sees I am at the end of my wits. He makes me an active part of the learning process by encouraging me to discover a pattern or to spot a mistake. Our lessons are a perfect balance of structure (textbook) and flexibility (free flowing conversations), usually a combo of both, which results in an hour passing really quick! Highly recommend!
