Patient teacher. Encouraging, able to guide and bring my focus back when my mind is all over the place at times. Which for me is an absolute blessing. Also a very disciplined person but without rigidity. You can count on him: Julien is always there. Lovely all-round human-being really.

Excellent first French lesson with Julien. I am returning to French after many years of not speaking. I felt immediately at ease and able to speak openly with him. I have now worked with Julien for just over a year. He has been fantastic. Sometimes we focus just on conversation; other times we have done some grammar exercises; or we might read an article and work on pronunciation. I feel much more confident speaking French (even if I make the inevitable mistakes) compared to a year ago.
