Hello, I am Angela! I was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, but I And I have lived in Singapore for 20 years. Because I have lived overseas for a long time of my life, I understand how scary it is to learn a new language! I can make the process approachable and fun! I worked as a speech therapist before becoming a Korean teacher, so I also have a deep understanding of linguistics. I have a Bachelor's degree in Korean Language & Culture from Kyunghee University and also underwent a Korean Language Teacher program at Seoul National University. I have taught at Korean language centers and corporate classes for 8 years, and I also have 1 year of experience teaching students over Skype.

I have already learned a lot and had so much fun in our lessons. Angela is a great motivator, she explains grammar very well and provides many examples for exercise. I feel challenged but never overwhelmed and am looking forward to our next lessons. =)

I have been learning Korean with Angela for a couple of years now! Even when I took a long break in between, Angela welcomed me back into her (virtual) classroom immediately saying that I “will always be her student”. 유선생님 is truly an incredible teacher! On top of her vast experience teaching a wide range of Korean levels, she matches a great sense of humor with patience and careful attention to her students. I've been learning with her since May, and thanks to her help, I've gone from knowing no Korean at all to being able to navigate everyday life in Korea without any problems in just a few months. I truly recommend her to anyone considering her classes -- you'll see what an amazing teacher and bright person she is!
