Hi everyone! I am Yan. I come from China.
I have 10 years of experience working as a mandarin teacher and tutor in Canada , I am working with a full range of students, from kids to adults, from the very beginning to advanced level. My students come from all of the world with diverse cultural and social background.
Everyone is unique, so I like to design the lessons based on students' needs. Also I'd like promote each class to be enjoyable, engaging and educational. I believe everyone can be successful if applying himself(herself)教学经验
1. 15 years of teaching experience in college in China.
2. 10 years working as a mandarin teacher and a Mandarin tutor in Canada , I am working with a full range of students, from kids to adults, from the very beginning to advanced level. My students come from all of the world with diverse cultural and social background.

Step by step ( Beginner) Teaching pinyin and basic characters, correcting pronunciation, and helping students practice speaking.
Step by step (Intermediate) Emphasizing the development of communication skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Step by step(Advanced) Convercsation and materail will be more formal, academic and professional, so studnets are able to communicate in any situation.
- Easy Chinese for kids Helping kids establishing a solid foundation and gradually develop communication skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

I had a lot of fun in this class! She taught me how to say were is it? And how to say it's here. And we played her games in PowerPoint! The games were really fun! Thanks Yan for making my day! And of course thanks to my mom for finding this teacher! BYEEE!!!

Teacher Yan truly has a lovely, gentle demeanor with my children as well as a very professional approach to assessing my children's Mandarin speaking skills. I most appreciate that she has really encouraged/gently prompted more verbal practice than other teachers we have worked with. Thank you Teacher Yan!

She is fantastic with young kids, and my 8yo thought the lesson was super fun. She spoke NO English to my child and conducted the entire lesson in Chinese, which was fantastic (my child has a few years of Chinese learning so I really wanted her to have some extra practice with a native speaker.)
