Hello, my name is Felipe and I am carioca, that is, I am from Rio de Janeiro. I am an Applied Mathematics student and I am passionate about different cultures and languages. I am extroverted and I love going out and meeting new people, but I also know how to enjoy a good book and tasty food. Olá, meu nome é Felipe e sou carioca, ou seja, venho do Rio de Janeiro. Eu estudo matemática aplicada na faculdade e sou apaixonado por culturas e línguas diversas. Sou extrovertido e gosto muito de sair, conversar e conhecer pessoas novas, mas também sei aproveitar a leitura de um bom livro. Também gosto de cozinhar e comer, de esportes e, claro, de ir à praia.

I am perfectly fluent in 2 languages and I am in the process of perfecting 4 more. Due to my passion for languages, I understand well how challenging it is to learn from zero, so I use my own method that brings quick but natural results. Sou fluente em português e inglês e também falo francês e espanhol, além de estar aprendendo alemão e italiano. Por causa da minha paixão por línguas, sei muito bem como é desafiador aprender um idioma do zero, o que me faz entender as dificuldades que meus alunos enfrentam na jornada até a fluência. Tenho dois anos de experiência como professor e uso um método próprio, que te faz evoluir mais rápido e com mais naturalidade, sempre respeitando o seu ritmo.

We will discuss your motivation for learning Portuguese, understand your biggest difficulties and overcome them together through conversation, games and debates. No início, falaremos sobre suas motivações para aprender português e descobriremos juntos quais são as suas maiores dificuldades e como superá-las. Filipe is a fantastic teacher and a very nice person in general . I always have great fun in our sessions and I learn a lot. He is good at finding my interests and using that to motivate me to learn. He checks in often to make sure I’m getting what I need from the session and he adjusts to fit my needs. Can’t recommend this guy enough!
