Learn authentic Mandarin in a relaxed way! In 2017, I went to China and met a new friend from Mexico. After he went back to Mexico he contacted me, wanting to learn to speak Chinese. At that time, he had been taking some Chinese lessons with a native Spanish speaker. However, I found that his learning method could be improved and realized I could be his Chinese teacher. Since our common language is English, this also gave me an opportunity to practice my English language skills. I discovered that I could use pinyin to help my friend pronounce Chinese correctly. The Chinese language is very different from other languages - both in grammar and pronunciation. This is why I teach my students step by step, in a fun and relaxed way. :)

After I've completed the training program of Chinese teacher in NTNU and CCU, I tutored a few students who were from USA and Australia, but teaching Chinese was not my full-time job yet. In 2018, I got an opportunity to teach Chinese in Vienna, Austria. It was a short term program, but it inspired me a lot. It opened my mind; it made my teaching methods more flexible and more creative in order to teach diverse learners. After I returned to Taiwan, I've been focusing on teaching Chinese, and using what I learned from my previous experience to help my students. And now, I've been teaching Chinese for 5 years; I enjoy in it, and determine to develop it as my career.

As a long-time English learner from a kid and a German learner for the recent one year, I know how difficult it is to learn a new language, especially in a different language system compared with the mother tone. I have some friends who are learning Chinese and I sometimes help them with their questions about the language. From this experience, I understand Chinese can be very confusing and easy to make mistakes sometimes. I used to give physics tutor lessons to high school students. Although teaching a language is a new journey for me, I will try my best to prepare for every course and improve your language level while we are both enjoying the process :)
