Dutch teacher Alie I am an experienced teacher as I have been teaching languages for several years. My teaching style is informal conversations about any topic, trying always to include local expressions and slang words, which you usually cannot find in conventional lessons. I have a great sense of humor so we will have lots of fun during our conversations, while improving your language skills at the same time.

I really enjoy teaching about the dutch language to others, especially while talking about topics we both like. I will give you the time to find words so you don't feel stressed. As i said in my video, you can always say a few words in english if you can't find a word or have a question.

I studied science and technology at the Leeuwenborgh institute In the Netherlands and my job was training new employers to get ready for their job. In Thailand I started to teach at the local primary school of my village. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get my TEFL certificate and did additional courses for natural learning, specially for kindergarten kids. I have experience teaching at kindergarten, primary school and secondary school as well as in business English.

That's why I always try to create a comfortable and relaxed environment during the lessons, where you feel completely free to make mistakes, as this is a very natural and necessary part of the learning process. Each person learns very differently, so I try to figure out what kind of learner you are and where possible, adapt my lessons to your learning style, to keep you motivated and progressing. ✅ Conversation Practice is key to learning a new language! My lessons focus mainly on CONVERSATION practice. Practical things you can use right away in a day to day setting. And the topics of conversation are around topics that are important or interesting to you. Building your confidence in speaking the language and growing your vocabulary from Day 1! From small talk, how your day or week has been, family and friends, hobbies and personal interests to practical exercises like asking for directions, etc. All of this happens in a comfortable and non-forced setting. My classes are both fun and educational! My lessons are very personalised. I always start with getting to know you better. Especially during the trial lesson.

I am constantly learning about languages and cultures myself and therefore I am conscious that as a teacher I need to be as accessible and supportive for students as possible. After all it takes a lot of courage to express yourself in a new language.
