Trial lessons offer you a quick, easy way to get to know me as a teacher and decide if I am the right fit for you!

In this class we will talk about: you and your goals, why you are learning English, and what you find difficult about learning English. We will also talk about what style of lesson works best for you, so that I can create an approach that is best suited to your learning needs.

In these lessons we focus on speaking, with a particular focus on: improving vocabulary, idioms and how language is used in everyday settings. We will focus on topics and subjects that interest you! We can talk about specific grammar questions you have during the lesson, but the classes are more unstructured and conversational.

Adult English Conversation

If you would like more structured, focused lesson lessons to improve your grammar, reading and writing then this is the class for you. We will still have discussions to improve your speaking. But classes will be more structured and comprehensive. We will use different textbooks and you will gain access to more supplementary materials designed to improve all aspects of your English!

General English (Structured course with supplementary materials and exercises)

Does your child need to prepare for English exams? Does your child want to get better at all the English skills needed to excel in school? Does your child want to become a confident English speaker? 

More importantly. Does your child want to have FUN while learning english? Then this is the course for your child! 

Our lessons will use a textbook and focus on improving core skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening). 

However, I believe that it is important that children’s lessons are FUN! Therefore I will always structure our lessons around things that your child is interested in. I have a younger sister and lots of experience teaching children. So I am comfortable basing my lessons around anything; from Marvel and Star Wars, to Disney Princesses and My Little Pony!

English for Young Learners 6-18 (Fun courses with exercises, vocabulary, and activities!)

20 Hour course focusing on delivering effective Online Lessons. Included: graded quizes, tests, and short essays.

I completed a 150 hour intensive course with specializations in Teaching Test Preparation Courses and Teaching English to Mandarin Speakers. As a result I have knowledge in teaching test prep courses to learners coming to Italki looking for assistance in preparing for various certification exams, as well as It  skills and techniques to help teach English as a Foreign Language to Mandarin speakers, who form the largest group of EFL learners worldwide.

I taught piano to beginner learners for three years. In doing so I employed a mixed curriculum using both coursebooks  but also resources I created myself to improve the learners experience, I also encouraged regular practice while also providing regular feedback on how to fix mistakes and improve. All of these skills will be helpful in language instruction as well.

This is a volunteer position where I host events -online discussions via Zoom- on the language learning platform Duolingo. My responsibilities are to facilitate discussions among EFL learners by; asking questions, coming up with prompts and creating interesting activities to encourage languages learners to get outside their comfort zone.

To receive this certificate I had to complete 5 university courses, equivalent to one full semester of study. The course covered the theory and best practices of how to identify, manage, and treat mental health problems in children and young adults. 

In my classes, this certificate will allow me to notice and remove sources of stress and other barriers to learning for my young students. Ensuring a more comfortable, engaging, and fun classroom environment!
