I've been liked reading and writing since when I was in early childhood. I had published prose in our local newspaper. I work in the education industry and and I always emphasize the importance of reading and writing to my students.

Hope this helps. You weren’t the one publishing your prose so I’ve changed this from the active to passive. They published your prose.
