With the excitement brought by the latest WBC 2023 and the desire to get the popularity of baseball back, MLB decided to introduce the rule called ‘Pitch clock’, which has reportedly cut the average length of a game by around 30m(from 3h to 2.5h). However, I doubt if this reduction of only half an hour will make a difference. More people will watch a 2.5h-long game, just because they can go to bed 30m earlier?
