Make a prank, pull a prank, do a prank and play a prank. What is the most natural and correct way to say it? I always hear that Americans say 'make a prank' but an American told me that 'pull a prank' is the most natural and correct to say it because the other ways are weird. Help me with this please.

In our Canadian home we say both; to pull a prank and to play a prank... on someone.

Pulling a prank is the most natural of those options. You could also use prank as a verb in itself. Another way of saying ‘to prank’ is ‘to stitch someone up’. :)

“Pull a prank” is definitely the most common. I would use “do a prank” before using make a prank”.

I would say “pull a prank” (on someone...) . I speak UK English but I believe US is the same here.

To me, ‘play a prank’ sounds most natural - I haven’t heard the others used in England, although that’s not to say they aren’t.
