What is your pet peeve about modern English usage?
My pet peeves are:
<ul><li>"tbh" in texting uses by both learners and native speakers. It's totally unnecessary and overused.</li><li>native speakers using "should of, could of"</li></ul>
I just can't stand to see those.

What are your pet peeves?

I detest the use of "like" in like every like instance that like another like word could like be used to like explain the like situation ........

I truly think it's usage has invaded the language like a virus. (Correct use of the word)

My biggest pet peeve is when people declare the death of the English language whenever they come across a usage or stylistic choice they disagree with, whether it’s actually wrong or not.

People deliberately trying to say gonna wanna shoulda.
Instead of just saying 'going to' 'want to' and 'should have', rather than just letting the natural vowel sound clashes occur naturally inside the mouths echo chamber to naturally produce goingta wantta shouldav
