I quit coffee and tea because a cleaner often comes to my office to drink hot water. We talked about this before—this is our workplace, so please don’t disturb me. If you want to drink water, there are plenty of other places to do so. Because of this, I don’t dare to turn on the heating switch. But in the end, it’s good that I quit a 20-year habit.
Tip: - "There was a cleaner who comes" → "a cleaner often comes" (keep verb tenses consistent). - "Plenty of places you can drink" → "plenty of other places to do so" (more natural phrasing). - "I dare not to turn" → "I don’t dare to turn" (correct verb usage). - "It's good that I quit a habit for 20 years" → "It’s good that I quit a 20-year habit" (more natural sentence structure)

I quit drinking tea and coffee because our office cleaner often drinks hot water and makes a noise when she heats it up. My colleagues and I warned her about it before, we told her: “this is our workplace, please don't disturb us. If you want to drink water, there are plenty of other places you can drink it. Since then I don’t dare to turn on the hot water heater and actually it’s good that I have managed to quit a habit I had for 20 years.
