List them in order of their importance (a), (b), (c) or (1), (2), (3) or (1a), (1b), (1c). This also involves identifying specific people associated with your subject. #3 Your first paragraphs show make your readers familiar with your subject. Start with basic material such as the Date of an activity or an occurrence in Time, or in History. Your Subject should fall within some basic category or others such as Science (inclusive of Social or Psychological Issues), Legal Issues, Philosophy, Theology and Religion, History, Fine Arts...etc. #4 Avoid the use of expressions like; "Some people think...." and "We all know...". If any person says or thinks something, Identity that person and the specific source material showing that they said or wrote it. Quote them exactly. #5 Begin writing about any conflicts or controversies on the subject. (For example, Italki forums are now full of discussion of the World Cup, and Internet discussions. You can observe how people present their differing ideas on the subject.)
