How to use 'sip' in a sentence. sip means drink just a little bit, right? Can I use it as verb? For example, sip it a bit. sip this coffee, just have a sip of it. Are they right? Can you guys tell me how to use it and how it is used in real sentences? Thanks a lot for your help in advance. Enjoy the rest of Sunday. Hyunwook

"I am sipping the coffee because it is too hot."

I haven't heard "sip it a bit" too much, but "have a sip" is pretty common and perfectly fine to use :)

"to take a sip" is also very common. e.g. Josh took a sip of his drink.

Yes they are all right- sip is to drink in small amounts as gulp is to drink in large amount.
