Maybe you mean "miss out" and "mess up" To miss out means that you would have liked to be part of something and you missed it. For example if your friends went for a nice trip and you missed it, you missed out on all the fun. But next time you can join them on another trip : ) To mess up is slang for 'to make a mistake'. For example. I made a mistake, I really should have said sorry to her at the beginning. I really messed up. It is also used for when you ruin something. For example. I really messed up my relationship with her by not saying sorry. I should call her now and apologize. I hope this helps : )

miss out = messing a chance or a possibility. miss up = make a mistake (I messed up the entire project), to be troubled (The divorce is really messing him up), a Slang to beat up (he got messed up in a fight).

messed up > You make something worse than it is . I messed up my life even when life is good to me . ? I messed up what I was doing just now because my mind was somewhere else . Messed out X Make a mess out of (something) > I was to bake a cake ,but I made a mess out of it > make something messy/ completely not right . Get out of a mess > to be not involved in situation which you think is bad .> I was lucky to be out of the mess involving the disagreement between both of you . I am now in big trouble . How do get out of this mess ?
