There is some oil There is an oil There aren't any noodles There aren't a noodles There isn't any chilli sauce There isn't a chilli sauce ... I confuce because you use SOME for positive, request and offers sentences. for uncontable and plural contable nouns ANY for negative and question sentences. for uncontable and plural contable nouns that is correct? ... sorry if my english not is very well I am elementary student Thanks

Is there ANY chicken in here? (chichens) Is there a chicken in here? There is some oil There is an oil ( There is an oil can)(There is a can of oil) There aren't any noodles There aren't a noodles (there isn't a package of noodles) There isn't any chilli sauce There isn't a chilli sauce (There isn't a can of chilli sauce)

"Is there ANY chicken in here?" This is correct if you are talking about chicken meat. "Is there a chicken in here?" This is wrong if you are talking about chicken meat. (Is there chicken in here?)
