How do you say "by the way" in Korean? So I'm looking for how to add "by the way" in a sentence. People often say it's "근데", but isn't that more like "but"? Let's say you're talking with your friend, and then suddenly you remember "oh yeah, I saw that movie yesterday by the way" - A movie you talked about before maybe, or something in that style. Here saying "근데 어제 그 영화를 봤어" feels more like "but I watched that movie yesterday" So what would be a more appropriate word?

'그나저나' is the right expression

You could use the phrase '~거든(요)' at the end of a verb stem. It gives the meaning of 'F.Y.I' or "just so you know" etc. For example, 선생을 싫어하거든요. F.Y.I, I hate fish. 나는 미국사람 이거든. Just so you know, I am an American. Or you can use the word 그런데.
