okay, try this:
" 'tol, ano'ng raket natin? "
"tol" - derived from the word 'utol' or 'kaputol' that refers to brother or sister relationship.
"raket" - a slang term for 'business'.
therefore, in formal way, it could mean:
"(hey), what keeping you busy right now?"
"(hey), what's your job right now?"
"(hey), where do you get your income?"
I just used "hey" for "tol" as "tol" can be used to address not just among relatives but also to some known friends or peers.
a few from many tagalog slang words:
s'yota - kasintahan (boy / girlfriend)
erpat - tatay (father)
ermat - nanay (mother)
tsekot - kotse (car)
lonta - pantalon (jeans)
yoyo - relo (watch -time piece)
toga - sapatos (shoe)
some tagalog slang expressions:
"batsi" - alis (to
"toma" - inom (to drink) - usually used by drunkards... hehehe
:)
