Speech level for writing a diary?
If I write some diary entries on a blog open to the public, should I write in 합쇼체 or 해라체? I thought 해라체 because I am talking to myself, and I've noticed that when Korean people talk to themselves (I mean not to anybody in particular), they tend to use that level. But then, I thought that maybe I should use 합쇼체 because I know that people of the public would still read it. I don't want to sound informal to people reading it, but it is a diary after all..also, if I should speak formally on my diary, can I descend to 해요체 after a while? Can I use that to begin with?

If you want to use different speech levels 'properly' in different settings - like a native speaker - you can use 해라체. We use this level to write a diary, it doesn't take into account the listener or reader, so we can write in our dairy about our inner thoughts and feelings freely. Many bloggers use this level in their post as well.
합쇼체 is very formal, sometimes stern. You sound like a drill instructor if you use it.
해요체 is also fine if you want to sound friendly - it's informal of course, but still it's respectful.

I think -하다체 or -해요체 is the best way to wrtie on the public website.
cuz it's kind of diary so u wrote it urself that's y I said u can use '-하다체'
and it will be read others too so '-해요체' is gd way to be polite to listeners.
